Nothing like good old snail mail!

Today my letters from The Patterson Family arrived!
I have been exited about them arriving since they wrote them but I never knew they would bring SO MUCH JOY!
The letters were sooooo sweet, from them all!
I just could not STOP smiling!
Then I got to a card from Lorraine!
When I opened it I realized it was one of those cool song cards! Awesome huh?!
Then I realised there was something VERY precious inside!
Remember how I couldn't get the 'Boss your heart' necklace and had to buy a heart and ingrave it myself.....
Well Lorraine asked if they could make one more for her to post to me!
WOW!
I was just filled with joy, infact I AM filled with joy!
How someone half way around the world would do that for ME!
How a simple necklace could be sooooo special!
How a simple show of effection could be sooooo meaningful!
I am SO exited to pen pal the Pattersons!
Becuase...
There is nothing like good old snail mail! :)

Thank you Patterson Family!
I love you guys!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Wow!
It is offical! I have banked the money for the 40 hour famine.
I am in TOTAL amazement!
I handed out 100 booklets, 100 people willing to help!
Unfortunately I only got 10 booklets back but I am in shock at what us 10 people managed to pull together!
I guess you want the total huh?!
$868.55! That is with all 10 peoples money put together! Amazing huh?!
On my own I raised $278.35!
Wow! Wow! Wow!
I am so proud of how well I did this year! After rushing, rushing, rushing to get it organized I pulled it off and got $868!
Did you know that $40 can feed 6 children for a month!
$80 can help 12 children for a month!
$160 can help 24 children for a month!
We raised $868.55 which would feed over 100 children for a month!
WOW! We have made a difference!
Thank you everyone how supported, fundraised, prayed, ANYTHING (:
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
These Children are no doubt forever grateful for our efforts, please keep it up!
You guys are amazing!

October 8

Princess Chrissies birthday is coming up on October 8, just a little over a week away.
First of all, could you please keep the Patterson family in your prayers. As you can imagine October 8 is going to be a hard day without their precious little angel!
Next off, A very special birthday present that will make Chrissie soooooo happy and exited!
Meet Yulia

Yulia has a rare condition and is unlikly to be adopted, just ike Chrissie was.
So if she is not adopted soon, she will die an orphan! Please do not let this happen to Yulia!
For Chrissies birthday WE want to help find Yulia a home. Chrissie would think that is the coolest present EVER! In just 5 days! Yep, 5 days! Gods amazing army advocating and fundraising for Yulia have raised just off $20,000! WOW! So with just a little more to go Yulias adoption will be FULLY covered! Now we just need to pray for her family to find her! Whoever you are, please help save Yulia. Do child deserves to die an orphan!

Please help give Chrissie the best birthday present ever and advocate, pray and fundraise for Yulia!

Chrissie was united with her forever Mummy and Daddy in Serbia for her 4th birthday. Chrissies birthday present was a forever family! Let her next birthday present be the joy of watching Yulia get a forever family! Chrissie knows what its like to be an orphan, unloved, unwanted. She knows what it is like to be in a family that loves you more then anything, Yulia doesnt!

I love you Christyn Joy Patterson

Super Silly Sydney!

Origanally I was going to do 3 seperate blog posts:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
because I have so many photos to add to each post that it simply would not fit into one post.
I have been sitting on my laptop for around 4 hours trying and trying to upload the pictures but it does not want to work with me at all! I will try to get them up ASAP :) So anyway, here is what we did in Sydney :)

Day one!
Mum, Paul and I left home at around 2pm and picked up my Aunty Tracy and cousin Sarah. After a 2 and a half hour trip we finally arived at the Kalys place (Aunty Lisa, Dads sister, Uncle George, John-12, Ally-10, Paige-5) My other cousins were also there (Autny Kerrie, Dads sister, Donavan-11, Cassidy-6) So it was a big family get together :)
The adults cooked dinner, and us kids played, then we all ate and had a birthday cake for Aunty Tracy, as it was her b'day the day before :) Then we settled with a movie and all camped out in the lounge room!

Day two!
We all woke up to Paige screeming "Get up, Luna Park!" over and over!
Within the next half an hour we were all ready to head off to the train station!
We cought 2 trains, hiked down and up stairs and finally got to Luna Park (a small amusment park). We all spilt into 2 groups 'big kids' and 'little kids' and went on rides. After meeting up for a bit of lunch we all spilt again but into lots of littler groups. I went on some kiddy rides with the littlies as they needed a big kid for some rides. We would shift and change groups as we would meet up which was great and gave us all a chance to go on every ride we wanted :)
Piage turned out to be a lil crazy ride girl! There is this big huge ride that spins around then turns on its side so you are going vertical, and I was screeming on it and sooo scared! Then we found out Paige was able to go on it and she went straight there! 5 times in an hour that kid went on! She LOVED it! She is such a crack up!
She was running round telling EVERYONE "I went on the UFO with Taylah, she was screeming and I just laughed at her!"
It was such a great day! With 11 kids and 4 adults it turned out amazing! Everyone was soooo well behaved, no one winged, no one asked for the overly expensive food! It was just an awesome day and God blessed us with great weather! Just as we were leaving I looked out over the water and the sun was setting, pretty and pink, It reminded me of Chrissie :)
We had a very busy train ride home... no seats! Finally someone moved for us as I had Paige asleep in my arms and they realised I was stuggeling to stand LOL :)
We got home had some dinner and watched Vampire Diarys :) And all camped out!

Day Three
We all had a big sleep in and a really lazy morning. Then we got up, me and the girls made up a dance and a circus show :)
Then we headed off home, 2 hour drive and slept most the way :)

Sorry the photos havnt worked, I will try again tomorrow :)
Good bye for now my sweet blog friends

Wonderful Weekend Witnessing!

School break has began! WHOOO! 2 weeks break, a much needed 2 weeks break!
This weekend has been a great start to school holidays! I have been very busy but it has been loads of fun!
Nextdoor have family over (who are my family, not bio, but adopted ;) So I spent all Saturday with them :)
In the morning, Jody, Billy, Zac, Annie and I headed off to the beach for a few hours! Soooo much fun and what a beautiful day God blessed us with!
Annie refused to keep her swimmers on which was a bit of a worry, with so many creeps around these days! Just thinking about it makes me sick! But anyway....
So we had a blast at the beach then went to eat at McDonalds, my new work :)
When we got home we had a nap and all the family came home from Troys motobike racing. We all just chilled and watched a movie then got up and played. Troy (14) and I went for a walk to the shops and back which was super fun! Troy is awesome, I have never really gotten to know eachother but yesterday we spent some time doing just that! He is doing the Aus champs for Moto racing atm! Its a big thing... people from USA are over racing him and he is doing really well!
We got home, had a snack and played with the kiddos some more.
After dinner we went out side, in the dark, and played football :)
Stacks of fun!
This morning I got a suprise visit from Oscar :)
He is such a joy to be around! He just lights the place up, we are so very blessed!
We played out the back, watched some mickey, had some lunch and then Ozzy fell asleep in my arms (:

I am off to Sydney for a few days to see my family! It is going to be lots of fun! We are going to Luna Park tomorrow, which will be super! It is a small amusment park. I think Paige, my little cousin who is 5, will get the most out of it! She is such a crack up! I love her to bits!

Also, I start work this Friday! Soooo nervous! Please pray that I stay calm for my first day! It was soooo busy there on Saturday, AHHHH, But I am also super exited :)

I don't mind one bit!

Oscar,
I don't mind we have to wait a little longer for you to walk,
or talk,
or crawl,
or ride a bike,
or learn to write your name.
I don't mind we have to wait a little longer for your first day of school,
or go to the toilet,
or cross the road alone,
or say you love us.
I don't mind we have to wait a little longer for you to play an insturment,
or a sport,
or open the cupboard doors and make a huge mess.
I don't mind that we have to wait for you to run and greet us at the drive way,
or be able to pick up a peice of toast and eat it alone.
Really, sweet boy I do not mind one little bit!

When someones child grows up, they often say "Oh, my baby is growing up so fast!" and they are sad about it. Well Oscar, we are lucky because we have our little baby for longer!

I don't mind waiting, because I know that one day you WILL reach all those mile stones and it will be one big huge celebration! It will fill our souls with joy and love and pride, and that is something truly special!

Thank you, Oscar, for teaching us patiance, as well as so much more!

I don't mind waiting, precious angel, becuase in the mean time, we will embrace the joys, blessings, and challanges that you are close to overcoming :)

I love you Oscar!

Facebook ! ? !

This morning my face book does not want to work for me? Boo Hoo!
Just wondering if anyone is having the same troubles!
Hopfully it works this afternoon!

Fun.... NOT!

Today was a slow day, very slow!
I got up and did not want to wake at all! I felt horrible, a feeling I can not explain, just aching all over. I got to school and it was year 12 muck-up-day. I thought the day might acctually end up being fun. But after about half an hour the police came and kicked the year 12s out! Stupid! They didn't do anything too bad!
It is muck up day!
Anyway, school sucked really. We didn't do anything exiting, I was in pain and the day was so slow!
I got home and headed to the dentist. Origanally for a fisher seal. After they checked they decided I would have a filling. So in goes the first needle! OWCH! And the next! Boo Hoo. After they started drilling at my tooth they realised (from the amount of pain I was in) I needed another antasetic needle, a BIG one!
After that I couldn't feel anything unless the drill hit my nerve, which hurt!
After the dentist I went to babysitting, with was OK but my face was compleatly numb with felt weird and uncomfortable.
I got home about an hour ago and the pain started coming back! I also realised that while my mouth was numb I was biting the cheek of my mouth, and now I have a huge sore there, which I can feel! :(
Today sucked really! But tomorrow is a new day :)
And hopefully a pain free day?!?
Tomorrow is also the last day of school and then we get a 2 week break :)
We have family from NZ (next door family, but claimed as mine!) coming down tomorrow morning for a few days and it is going to be awesome seeing them again.
We have a big family get together on Saturday which will also be awesome :)
On Sunday I am heading off to Sydney to see my cousins, which I am SO looking forward to.
Then when I get home on Tuesday I should start my McDonalds training!

Although today sucked, I have so much to look forward too!

P.S. Oscar is feeling a little better today,
Thank you for prayers! X

Wonderful Wednesday!

Well, today was very eventful!
In the early morning we dropped Zac off at a friends, Billy and Annie off at school, and Jody and I headed to the shops for some girly time :)
Unfortunatly every now and then we would both feel sick but other times fine. Weird huh?!?
There is a bit of a bug going around so I really hope I am not getting it!
After shopping for 5 hours I walked to pick Zac up and then walked home with one tired little boy! Meaning I had to carry him! And he is heavy!!!
When I got home we had some afternoon tea, played for a while, watched some T.V, which soon turned into dancing to the music channel :)
I got Billy ready for his school disco and then headed home to get ready for my oriantation starting at 6pm. First off I had green hair spray all over my hands from Billy (His disco was crazy hair theme) which took about 10 mins in the shower to scrub off. And I mean scrub!!! OWCH!
Then the hot water decides to run out half way through washing my hair!
So I rinced in FREEZING cold water and jumped out, got dressed in my bestest 'oriantation style' clothes and was about to leave.
I had a drink of coke and was walking to the car when I slipped! Spilling coke ALL over myself and my nice white shirt! So I changed :)
In the middle of getting dressed my phone rang.... McDonalds!!!!
Manager running late, time changed to 6:30pm! Thank you God! :-)
As you have probebly notacted I was very very very nervous!
I got there and realised it wasn't so scary ;)
Infact I am really looking forward to starting!
At the oriantation, I got my uniform, signed stacks of paper work and watched a safty video. Not scary at all!
I am really exited about working! Everyone seems really nice and fun too :)
I am just about to turn in for the night but first I do have a prayer request...
Of course there is always something up with that little God son of mine!
That tummy bug I mentioned earlier.... well Oscar has it, BAD!
Please keep him in your prayers! A very sick little boy.
Oh and also, there has been a family on the news...
A familys little boy was born very sick, premmie, bad heart and lungs ect.
One night, his parents were coming home and they had a car crash, both losing their lives. The baby left an orphan, fighting for his life.
God called this precious baby home, to be with his Mummy and Daddy, healed, for forever!
I think its a good thing in a way. Unfortunatly, we will never experiance the joy this child could have bought to the world but he is with his family now, with Jesus, healed for all iternety.
Please keep the family and friends of this Mummy, Daddy and Baby in your prayers!

Night Ya'll :)

Job and Picture Updates :-)

Job
My interveiw went great! I was so nervous but it wasn't scary at all :)
They asked a few questions and some how we got onto the topic of Oscar (typical for a convo to turn into something about my boy) which made me feel alot more comfertable :)
Turns out my interveiwers (a husband and wife) have a DS cousin! How cool huh?!
Last night I got the call to tell me I GOT THE JOB! WHOOOOOOOOOO :D
I have an oriantation day on Wednesday, then I have to wait to be trained and then I start work!
How exiting! Thank you all so much for praying!
Pictures
We had so much fun at our sleep over date, when Oscar finally cheered up, after 2 hrs of screeming! The spring fair was super fun! Oscar loved looking around at all the stalls and kids running around :) Unfortunatly I forgot my camera but here are some pics from Saturday, Sat night and Sunday morning :) Enjoy! MWAAAAAAAA <3

Cuddly Little Monster!

When I asked to have Oscar for the night I expected to be up ALL night with a screaming baby, I didn't really mind, because thats what his parents go through EVERY night!
I was so suprised to be only woken with a little bit of stirring through the night!
What a great little boy :)
All night Oscar would make sure some part of him was touching some part of me, Sweet huh?!
Unfortunatly that meant him butt was in my face half the night too! LOL :-)

Oscar has terrible wind! And last night when the covers got lifted, OH MY!

He woke at 6:10 and had a bottle and came out to watch mickey and play and give me a chance to update :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day or night!

I am looking forward to going to the fair for a few hours this morning!

Will update with photos hopefully tonight!

MWAAAAAAAAAAAA :-)

Very first sleep over

It is almost 7pm here and Oscar is having his VERY FIRST SLEEP OVER!

He is a very big mummas and daddas boy! And when they left he lost it!
I mean, yes we expected this! A child leaving its parents for the very first time is something that would be very scary for my precious little boy! But mummy and daddy have been getting NO sleep with the little man so I insited over and over to have him :)

Oscar has been here for almost 2 hours and has only just settled!
2 hours of constent screeming, part wind pain and part 'I miss mumma and dadda' crying.

Praise God for allowing Oscar to trust us and finally calm down!

Oscar has refused food and a bath, which is not like him at all!

I just gave him a bottle and we will be heading to bed shortly (yes I am going at the same time as I need my sleep!)

Hoping Oscar stays settled throught the night!

Oh also, I got a phone call from McDonalds this afternoon asking if I would come in for a job interveiw tomorrow!
I had planned to spend the entire day with Oscar and take him to the spring fair for lunch, but having my interveiw at 10:30 am doesn't make that possible! So we will be heading there for the morning then straight off to my interveiw (which I am so nervous about!)

So glad Oscar is settled, will update in the morning letting everyone know how he goes during the night :)

Good night Ya'll
Big kisses and cuddles from the Big sleep over guest, Ozzy! (:
MWAAAAA!

Each step forward

Planning this Princess Ball in honor of Chrissie has brought such Joy to me! I am so exited to be playing a role in saving sweet Nika in Chrissies memory!

Each step forward with planing the party gets me more and more exited!

Yesterday I gave out another lot of invites (as the origanal date was changed) and realised just how soon it was and how many people were not only willing, but exited to help out!

Origanally the party was on the 24th of July, just 4 days after my sisters birthday. So aswell as it being for Chrissie it was also for Lana. As you know, God has only recentally revealed to me who He wants me to fundraise for. If the part had been on the 24th of July my decion would have been much more dificult as I would have to chose and not listen to who God had chosen for me.

God knew the date was going to be changed.

The new date is the 16th of October which is jam packed full of events worth celebrating!

8th of October: Chrissies 5th Birthday

14th of October: One year annaversary of Chrissies adopting

9th-17 of October: Down Syndrome Awarness week, A time to celebrate the gift God gave to us!

The gift of love, joy and happiness. A type of love that comes so pure it fills your entire soul with joy! A joy that makes you smile so much harder each and every day :)

A day we will celebrate Oscar, the Joy that he is and the people from all over the world he lead me too (including Princess Chrissie). Celebrating the life of Nika, the sweet girl who is locked away into a mental institution with no one celebrating her life like they should!

Nika, sweet princess, we will celebrate your life and the joy you will bring to a family one day!

This party has celebration within celebration, but the biggest, the most important, is celebrating the life of Princess Chrissie! Celebrating the way she touched so many lives from ALL around the world! Celebrating the way she bought so many people to Christ! The way she inspired me and so many others to have a heart for adoption.

Chrissie forfilled SO much in her short life time!

Her life is worth celebration, and Princess Chrissie, that is what we will do! We will dance and sing and laugh and smile because of you! Because your life is so worth celebrating!

Thank you everyone for your compliments about me doing this but ALL glory is to the Patterson family, Christyn Joy, and Our Heavenly Father :)

With each step forward, I am getting more and more exited!

A royal Princess Ball in honor of the most beautiful, sweet, warrior princess in the world! No not you Cinderella!
I love you Princess Christyn Joy 'Jewelery' Patterson!

Pure Joy

This afternoon I payed a visit to my favorite little boy :)
Oscar was such a happy little boy! Filled with Joy.
Pure Joy!
Joy that is contagious. Spread by smiles, giggles and love.
Me and Oscar got to spend some one on one play time with eachother which was great!
We both had a ball playing outside together!
Oscars butt looks great but he has alot of wind!
We did alot of bouncin' and dancin' which got most of it out, but boy, It STUNK!
I am so greatful God blessed us with the chance to spend some time outside and embrace the beauty he created!
I am so greatful God blessed me with such a joyful little baby boy,
and a stinky one too!
I love you Oscar :)

Princess Nika

A little peice of heaven

Last night I was looking through the Reece's Rainbow site, as I do so often,
and I came across a face that had me weaping in tears. Instantly I knew this was who God wanted me to fundraise for. I have been praying for the past 4 months asking who God wanted me to play a roll in saving and last night my prayers were answered.

This is Princess Nika (listed under 'older children' on the RR site)
'Down Syndrome, Congenital cardiac defect- atrium spectum defect, severe lagging behind in her neuron-psychical development' AKA Precious in His sight :)

Nika is already in a mental institution, wasting away, just waiting for a family to come and rescue her!

I am so honored to be apart of saving this sweet princess for the horrible death that is too real!

Nika has been tied to a crib her entire life!

Under feed, and only let out to change her clothes (a rare 'treat')

Guess what is the most horrifing fact about this little girl...

She is 8! Yes, 8! EIGHT years old!

Look at how tiny she is!

Look at how thin her precious arms are!

Look at how white her skin is. I bet she has never felt the sun on her sweet face!

Oh, won't someone please save her before it is too late! She would be such a blessing in a family!

Look at those big brown eyes, sparkling the way Chrissies did!

Sweet girl, I am so honored God has chosen you for me to fundraise for and I hope, I pray, I plead that someone will notace just how precious you truly are and bring you home!

Princess, I want to see you feed

I want to see you loved

I want to see the sun shine on your beautiful face!

Please pray and advocate for this sweet girl!

So Mother, Father, Lana and I are heading to U2, as well as my cousins Beth and Sarah!

I don't really know many of their songs but, what I do know, I like and I will be listening and getting to know more of their songs!

I am so exited, Thanks Mummy :)

SCARY stats!

Honestly, Oscar SCARES me!
My life with him will ALWAYS be spent in fear, but thats not a bad thing.
50%. That is the chance of Oscar developing leikemia in the next two years! That is SCARY!
20%. That is the chance Oscars bottom will clear up compleatly in the next year! That is SCARY!(I hate seeing him in pain and his bum is what causes the most pain)
90%. That is the chance that Oscar is going to wake up at least 6 times tonight, just because of pain! That is SCARY!
30%. Thats was the chance of Oscar surviving when he was born! That WAS scary!

Me being scared does not mean I love Oscar any less, infact it makes me tresure EVERY moment with him. But really the percentage I like to focas on is
100%. That is how much God is watching over us! How much He loves us :)
I am ready to face every single scary statistic doctors tell me throughout Oscars life. Because I know it is His will and He would never forsake me!

Oscar, sweet love, you scare me. But thats what builds faith! Trusting that in the scary moment God will be right there with us, to hold our hand and love on us :)
Thank you for making me realise I am forever blessed, with what ever God has planned for us (:

Talented!

Tonight Mum, Sarah, Allira and myself went to Jake's HSC music show.
All the HSC kids played their peice :) They were all great!
Jake was so awesome! I am one proud little sister!
Honestly, I under estimated him. I didn't think he was as good as he really is!
He composed his own peice and I got to hear it tonight (:
Boy, it was so great! Its called 'Junk' as it is a mix of Jazz and Funk, how clever!

I really enjoyed watching my talented brother play in sooooo many of the HSC performaces!
Hopfully Jake will play as great as he did tonight in his acctual HSC which is just a week away! AHHHH! :)

I am so proud of you big brother! xox
