Making icing for minnie cake :)

Not a happy on her birthday!

In the morning, Annies idea! We have Mickey, Sponge bob (bob pants as Annie calls him!) , bart
Yesterday Annie turned 2! OH MY GOODNESS! It has gone soooooooo quickly!

She woke up at about 4am and hopped into bed with me for 2 more hours of shut eye :) Oh how i loveeee sleepy cuddles for my annie!

When we got up at 6 the boys were already awake watching a movie and our guests had just woken too so I blew up some balloons to help Annie get in the party mood :) Annie asked if I could draw pictures on them too!

We had some breakfast (Annie had Taylah made Mickey Mouse toast) and then headed down to the park for an ice cream and some play time so Jody could get everything ready for the party :)

All the kids really enjoyed it! We got home and had a half an hour of quite time before the party started!

Annie loved having her best friend Tara over to play! They are sooo darn cute playing! :)

Tara is 6 months older but they play so well! Tara would chase annie around and change her nappy lol! They were a crack up!

We played lots of fun games and had a minnie mouse cake! Annie really enjoyed her special day, and had her first day without a sleep!

The birth of Princess Annie

I thought it would be cool if I shared Annies birth with you all :)

Jody went into labor at around midnight and kept ringing the hospital but they said "stay home for a while longer". At around 4:30 am she knew this baby needed to come out so they left for hospital! I was compleatly oblivious to this! As they were driving Jody knew Annie was about to come out so they pulled over and Daddy delived his princess at a bus stop :) When they both looked up they notaced 2 guys standing at the bus stop watching! hahaha!

God has a funny way of bringing miricals into the world :)

Annie has been such a blessing and brings so much joy to us all!

Happy birthday princess!

My extended family

I have an amazing family! Our heavenly father has blessed me with a mum, a dad and 4 siblings. But that is not just my family! My family is all over the world!
This world wide family has one thing in common, ONE EXTRA CHROMOSOME!
That is all it is that unites us, yet we are so so close. God has used Down syndrome to bring together our family, and we are so so blessed!
Anyway, I want to talk about one very very special member of my world wide family...

Debbie Marks :)

This is Debbie and her son Harley, who like Oscar, has Down syndrome :)
Debbie is so amazing! She is ALWAYS there to listen to me and give me advice when I need someone to talk to. When I am scared I know I can talk to her and I will not be judged, which is an awesome feeling :) The Marks family is such a beautiful family! They care so much about others and bring joy to everyone they meet, online too :) I am so blessed to have the Marks family in my life. They are such a blessing.
Last Thursday I wasn't having the best day. I the afternoon, when I got home from school I was in a horrible mood. I walked into my bedroom and I found a pastle sent all the way from Cleveland! From my friend Debbie :) She sent so many goodies for not only Oscar but me too!
She is such a blessing.
Thank you so much Debbie, You bring us so much joy and we love you so much!

My friend in Cleveland is SOOO cute!

How lucky am I!

I LOVE my mickey plates!

Am I rocken these sunnys or what?!?

40 hour famine!

The 40 hour famine is where you give up something for 40 hrs and collect donations to give to world vision (helps out feeding, schooling and sheltering kids in 3rd world countrys)

If you know me you know I LOVE to talk! Which is why I am giving up talking for a full 40 hrs! YES! It will be hard but God is there to help and I want to challange myself :)

This is a great organisation! We find it a challange to give something up for a small 40 hrs to help others, others that are going without EVERY SINGLE DAY! (which is why I am chossing something that will truly challange me)

I have only decided to organsize all this over the past 24 hrs and I dont have much time to organsize it all, but today God worked his magic and already I have over 50 people ready to go without for others!

God is great!

So, the famine starts at 8pm, friday the 20th of August and finishes noon, Sunday the 22nd!

Are you willing to go without for the sake of a dying child?

Disapering... slowly

At the begining of this year my sister, Lana (20) moved out :(
I miss her so so so much! I miss waking up to Lana yelling at everyone.
I miss how she would always boss me around ALL the time.
I miss the way she always bought joy and life to our family.
Of coarse Lana still visits, alot acctually, but its not the same as having her here with us.
But she is 20, and she is enjoying experiancing life so I couldn't be more happy for her!

My brother Jake (17) has just gotten a full time job to start at the end of the year so he too will be moving out :(
And his little sister will miss him so so much, but, I am so proud of him!
This job is a hugh deal! He is well on his way to doing what he wants and that makes me so proud!

My other sister Lyndall is almost 19 but is still here at home but is keen to move out!

Its just hit me that our family of 5 kids is slowly dissapearing! AHHHHHH!
How can that be????? I rememeber when we were little! It wasn't THAT long ago was it?
Soon enough it will just be me and Paul at home! ME AND PAUL! That is 2 children. Yes you heard me..... TWO!

God has blessed me with a beautiful family and I love them all to absolute death! But I never thought about this and it is kinda sad.
Don't get me wrong, I am so happy for them! I am so proud of them! And I am so happy they are out having fun experiancing life :)
But it is sad to not wake up knowing I can see them that very second, or not being bossed around by your big sisters, and not being yelled at by brothers!
I am going to miss that.

We are slowly dissapering... so make the most of the time you have left :)
