Introducing The Pattersons

I figured since I talk on here alot about Chrissie and the Pattersons, I would introduce them to everyone :)

The Pattersons are Chrissies forever family. They have compleatly changed me as a person and I love each and every member with ALL my heart!

Matt, Lorraine, Naomi, Parker, Mattie, Meribeth, Sawyer, Asher, Keifer...

You have changed me forever. I am so proud of you all for opening your home and hearts to orphans, and sharing Chrissies story and allowing her to touch SO many lives all around the world! I am forever greatful for the blessing of each of you.

The Pattersons also have two every special members of their family, Samantha and Emily Hall. The Hall girls are considered part of the family too :)
The Patterson family, just three years ago only had 5 members! Isn't it amazing to watch a family grow!
They adopted Meribeth and then Miss Chris.
2 weeks before Chrissie had surgery God sent Keifer into their lives.
Just one month after Chrissie went to heaven God sent Naomi and then Asher.
They are just such an amazing family and I am forever greatful God has allowed me to 'meet' them!

Me and Miss Mattie are email buddys :) She is such an amazing girl and continues to show the awesome ways of God! She totally rocks!
Today Mattie wrote me an email and at the end wrote 'sis in christ', isnt she just the sweetest! I love her to bits!

I can not wait to fly over to Texas and meet my 'family in christ' and give them all a huge hug!

Pattersons, Thankyou for opening your home to orphans,
Thankyou for always saying 'yes' to God,
Thankyou for allowing Chrissie to touch my life and so many others,

Thankyou for the blessings you are!

I love you guys! Xox

Is this not the most beautiful Princess ever! Thanks for bringing her home and giving her the expirance of a loving family! I love you Chrissie :)
P.S A BIG Happy Birthday to Lorraine today! Please everyone pray that her day is as special as she is! Lorraine, I am so glad I know you, your a blessing and I love you so much xox

He Pooped :)

I never thought I would have a blog post called 'He Pooped'!

I never thought I would be so exited to share the news that Oscar pooed today!

Really, I never thought I would be doing alot of the things I am untill Oscar came into my life.

He has opened my heart to so much more then I would ever think possible, and I am forever greatful!

Oscar has been pooing ALL day today!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who has given suggestions and sent prayers!

I am forever greatful :)

Oscar went to the doctors today and we got 3 new medications to help with constipation (I wish I could remember the names of them!) They seem to be working already which is great news!

So we just have to watch Oscars diet and meds and hopfully he will stay a happy healthy baby boy!

Alot of you guys sugested Mirilax. Well the doctor says "its not for Oscars type" When I heard this I thought he meant DS kids!!! I cringed and was about to yell through the phone and say "I know heaps of DS kids having it thankyou very much"

It is because Oscar has to learn how to control his poo, if we give him Mirilax he isn't in control and he wont learn apparently?

Now Oscar is over the constipation the pain of his bottom 'burning' is back! YAY :(

So thats another thing that I am asking you to pray for.

It might be worse as his poo isnt as think as it normally is today (I hope so!)

But besides that Oscar is a healthy little man :)

Thanks again everyone!

Big love from Oscar and I xox

Today is....

the 3 month anaversary of Chrissie going to live with Jesus.
Please continue prayers for the Patterson Family, they are in Florida on holidays at the moment :)
Today, my heart ached to read another blog about Chrissies day, just like I did 3 times a day for a month, just 3 months ago.
It has been 4 months since Chrissie has lighten up the world with those big brown eyes, been able to boss everyone around.
Today I thought alot about Orphans.
This morning I found this picture on a friends blog..

I couldn't help but feel so burnded for these precious children. I felt as if Chrissie was reminding me what HER conditions were like, the way SHE lived before she was adopted. These children are wasting away in a crib, litterally. Then, these children are sent to mental home were most die!! Its so horrible.
My heart broke when I saw this picture this morning but I knew Chrissie was telling ME to help. Most would say... you can not help. You are 15! How the heck could you possibly help! Most people judge... why the hell are you bothering, one person can't make a differance and you dont know them anyway.
Well ONE preson CAN make a differance and their lives are worth it!
I wish I could bring ALL these children home with me! But for now I can only advocate and fundraise, and so I shall :)
Orphans have been something that has been heavy on my heart since I feel head over hells in love with Chrissie.
Chrissies life was worth it!
The life of an orphan is worth it!
God has worked on my heart to make me feel so attached to these orphans has lead me to people who have changed my heart and shown me the ways I can help.

One person CAN make a differance.
I felt as if I HAD to post this blog tonight, in Chrissies honor. Chrissies life was saved because of awareness. If God hadn't used someone to tell the Patterson family about Chrissie she would have died an orphan. My heart wouldn't have been changed and you wouldnt be reading this post.

It was all because some one shared the news... the way these orphans are treated... thats why I posted this too :)

This orphan thing really gets to me some days and today is one of those days, I know its Chrissie working through my heart :)

I miss your big brown eyes so much Chrissie, I love you!

P.S... A BIG happy birthday to my Dad, I love you :)

I am so sorry!

Why are these words bothering me so so much tonight? It might just be the fact that I have heard them too much lately and am getting sick of them.
When I tell people Oscar has Down Syndrome the reply I 9/10 times receive is "I am so sorry".
Why? Why are you sorry?
Why is it that we expect things that we don't comleatly understand to be so bad that we have to appologise?
I just dont get it!
I know have felt this way but why?
When I first found out Oscar had Downs I was overwelmed but didn't really focas on the 'Downs' part, it was more Oscars bottom and heart I was worried about. As he started getting better, it really started hitting me hard.
Oscar wasn't EVER going to have a normal life.
Oscar wasn't going to learn anything.
Was this life even a life worth living?
As the months went by God changed my heart and the way I saw Oscar. He was always so full of joy! I realised....
Oscar will have a normal life as long as I allow him!
Oscar will learn, just in 'oscar' time!
Oscars life is SOOOOO worth it.
When people say "I am so sorry" I am scared they think all the things I did and it scares me.
It scares me because I want the world to know what a blessing Down Syndrome is. I want them to treat Oscar like any other child and I am terrified they won't.... simply because they dont understand.
Its OK to be differant! Thats what changes the world :)
I am sick of hearing "I am so sorry"
One day I hope the world becomes a place where you hear "You are soo lucky, what a blessing!"
Thats the way I feel about Oscar, its like winning the lottery a million times :)

I am so in love with this little boy, and his funny faces :)
